Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
The Indian Journal of Fashion Technology (IJFT) welcomes submissions of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical notes in the field of fashion technology. To ensure a smooth and efficient publication process, authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing and submitting their manuscripts.
1. Manuscript Preparation
1.1 General Formatting:
• Manuscripts should be written in English.
• Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12-point) and double-space the text.
• Number all pages consecutively.
• Use 1-inch margins on all sides.
1.2 Title Page:
• Title of the manuscript (concise and informative).
• Full names of all authors, including affiliations and email addresses.
• Corresponding author's contact information, including email address and phone number.
1.3 Abstract:
• Provide an abstract of up to 300 words.
• The abstract should summarize the key findings and significance of the study.
1.4 Keywords:
• Include 3-6 keywords that reflect the main topics of the manuscript.
1.5 Main Text:
• Organize the manuscript into sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.
• Use clear and concise headings and subheadings to structure the content.
1.6 Figures and Tables:
• Number figures and tables consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
• Provide descriptive captions for all figures and tables.
• Ensure figures and tables are cited in the text in numerical order.
1.7 References:
• Follow the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style.
• Ensure all references are cited in the text and listed in the reference section.
• Include DOIs for all references where available.
2. Submission Process
2.1 Online Submission:
• Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system.
• Create an account or log in to the system to submit your manuscript.
2.2 Cover Letter:
• Include a cover letter addressing the editor-in-chief.
• Briefly explain the significance of the study and its relevance to the journal's scope.
• Confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
2.3 Supplementary Materials:
• Authors may submit supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, multimedia files) to support their manuscript.
• Ensure that all supplementary materials are clearly labeled and referenced in the main text.
3. Ethical Considerations
3.1 Authorship:
• Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

4.2 Revisions:
• Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
• Provide a point-by-point response to reviewers' comments when submitting revised manuscripts.
4.3 Final Decision:
• The editorial board makes the final decision on manuscript acceptance based on reviewers' recommendations and the overall quality of the manuscript.
5. Publication Process
5.1 Proofs:
• Authors will receive proofs of their accepted manuscripts for review and approval before publication.
• Promptly return corrected proofs to avoid publication delays.
5.2 Open Access:
• All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial License (CC BY NC 4.0), allowing free access and distribution with proper attribution.
5.3 Article Processing Charges:
Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript. Information on APCs and waiver policies is available on the journal's website.
